The polyalphaolefin (PAO) base fluid has far superior thermal stability compared to mineral oil and hence Castrol Aircol SR 46 is ideally suited to arduous and extreme operating conditions, e.g. two stage compressors. It also offers potential savings under normal operating conditions due to the extended service life it provides.
